The Lincoln College Softball Team will be hosting a free youth
clinic and used glove giveaway on Saturday, September 7, 2019. The
clinic will be held at the Lincoln College Softball Field from
9-noon and will be for kids K-4th grade. Registration is limited to
the first 40 kids that sign up and each child will receive a free
used ball glove.
During the clinic, Lincoln College softball players and coaching
staff will be teaching basic hitting, fielding and throwing
fundamentals.
"I have been wanting to start this Gift A Glove program for a while
now," said Assistant Softball Coach Stacey Sparks. "Being back in
Lincoln coaching and being able to give back to the youth in our
community is amazing. " Our softball student/athletes really enjoy
giving back so it should be a fun day. "
Sophomore P/3B Kerstin Osborne, a Lincoln Community High School
alum, said, " I love that the clinic is giving back to the community
that I grew up in. Giving back to the community that helped me get
where I am means a lot."
