			 [July 16, 2019]
There is a correlation between improving science education and
keeping the United States workforce strong and competitive.
University of Illinois Extension and Bradley University Center for
STEM Education have been partnering for many years, in a variety of
ways, to help improve the learning environment for science,
technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education throughout
Central Illinois. The newest addition to the lineup is Next
Generation Science Standards Training being offered July 30 and 31.
The participants will be learning together through the workshop
titled “PLANS – Principals Learning About Networking & Supporting
3-Dimensional Science Learning.” This workshop will support
instructional leaders in figuring out constructive strategies for
supporting teachers as they implement the NGSS. It is intended for
educational leaders including principals, instructional coaches, and
			department heads.

It is highly recommended that district or school teams of two or
three attend together. The first day will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. with a shorter second day that dismisses at 1 p.m. Classes will
be held in Olin Hall at Bradley University in Peoria, IL.
