Obituary
Steven Pinkley,57, passed away at
5:40 a.m. on Saturday July 20, 2019 at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
Steven was born on August 17, 1961 in Lincoln, son
of Virgil and Naomi (Cline) Pinkley. He married
Patty Moles on January 15, 2011 in Greenview. She
survives him.
Also surviving Steven are his children: Trevor
Pinkley of Springfield and Kendra Pinkley of Eagle
Pass, TX; step children: Brian Moles of Springfield
and Amy (Clark) Najmon of Aiken, South Carolina.;
one grandchild: Addison Najmon; siblings: Howard
Pinkley of Normal, Richard (Donna) Pinkley of
Normal, David Pinkley of Lincoln, Linda Gaitros of
Lincoln, Gary (Fern) Pinkley of Springfield, Betty
Pinkley of Lincoln, Juanita (Mike) Buttell of
Lincoln and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by his parents and one brother: Carl
Pinkley.
Steven worked at Isringhausen Imports as a Warranty
Administrator for 17 years. He loved spending time
with his family. He loved the Lord and enjoyed
serving as an usher at Calvary Church in
Springfield, where he was a member. |
He had a passion for shooting and was
a gun enthusiast and belonged to the Left Handers
Gun Club. He enjoyed playing basketball, football,
baseball, tennis, and bowling, and he followed the
St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys. Steven
enjoyed to travel especially taking cruises to see
new places.
Services for Steven will be 2:00 p.m. Friday July
26, 2019 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday July
25, 2019 also at the funeral home. Burial at Zion
Cemetery will follow the service.
Memorials may be made in Steven’s name to the
American Cancer Society.
