Obituary
On June 21, 2019 Jenny Lou Boughan
passed away peacefully at her home in Mesa, AZ with
her family by her side. She was 89 years old.
There are no services scheduled. She will be laid to
rest in Hartsburg Union Cemetery, Hartsburg.
Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home has been
entrusted with her care.
Jenny Lou was born July 29, 1929 in Hartsburg, the
daughter of Larkin Lowell and Matilda Shirley. She
graduated from Hartsburg-Emden High School. She
married Glen Van Hilsen, then married Hilbert Bruns,
then married Stanley Boughan. All preceded her in
death. She was affiliated with Hartsburg Christian
Church, Hartsburg Methodist Church, and the First
United Methodist Church in Lincoln. Jenny loved her
Savior Jesus Christ. Her prayer was that her family
would strive to live by her example of loving
others.
Surviving are her children: Terry (Kathy) Van Hilsen,
Sandra Van Hilsen, and Susan (Richard) Dryden;
grandchildren: Jacob (Kayla) Dryden, Zachary Van
Hilsen, Matthew (Sarah) Dryden, Micah (Kali) Van
Hilsen, Noah (Meghan) Van Hilsen, Derrick (Jillian)
Weadock, Colby (Taren) Weadock, and Chase Weadock;
17 great grandchildren also survive.
A memorial fund has been established in her memory
at Hospice at Home of Arizona 1423 S Higley Rd,
Mesa, AZ 85206.
