[July 27, 2019]
My name is Chris Sprague and I am a life-long resident of Logan
County. I am married to Nancy (Smith) Sprague and together we raised
our four children in Logan County. I started working in the
Coroner’s Office in 2014. I was promoted to the position of Chief
Deputy in 2015. As Chief Deputy, I was trained to performed the
duties of Coroner when Coroner Thomas was unavailable.
I started my career as a Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy. As a Deputy,
I was trained in all aspects of police work, rescue and EMS. As the
years passed, I found other paths but I have always returned to
working for the community and people of our county, where I have
raised and nurtured my family.
As the Chief Deputy, I have already attended the 40-hr. mandatory
coroner training. I have also attended many investigation classes
that include CSI, water death investigations and tragic death
investigations. Training is an on-going responsibility for the
coroner’s office and I will continue to stay up to date with the
current standards by continuing to attend education classes to keep
my coroner certification active.

During my time with Coroner Thomas we have made many advancements towards making
our work with the county efficient and I hope to continue to work together with
our community and public service agents towards the same ends.
I have received the support of Coroner Robert Thomas as a candidate for the
position of Logan County Coroner.
