Obituary
Raymond E. Johnson, 76, of Lincoln,
formerly of Atlanta, passed away on Saturday, June
1, 2019 at his home.
No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation
rites have been accorded.
Burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.
Raymond Eugene Johnson was born on April 27, 1943,
in Atlanta, the son of George and Lena Emma Haas
Johnson. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Jean
Barker on November 20, 2000. She preceded him in
death on January 25, 2013.
He is survived by one step-daughter: Jan Johnston
Villarreal, three step-grandchildren: Tammy, Todd,
and Tiffani; and five nieces: Linda Vannoy, Sue
Winstead, Joyce Grigg, Helen Karrick and Georgia
Johnson.
He was preceded in death by one brother: George
Johnson, Jr., one sister: Helen Winstead, and one
step-granddaughter: Tanya Pippenger.
Raymond graduated from the Atlanta Community High
School in 1961. He then served in the United States
Army. He was last employed at Hoblit Seed Corn in
Atlanta.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram Peasley
Funeral Home of Atlanta.
