"A Grand Night for Singing" opens tonight

LINCOLN
The first show of the 2019 summer season of Lincoln Community
Theatre will open this week at the Johnston Center for the
Performing Arts on the campus of Lincoln College.
"A Grand Night For Singing" is a musical revue showcasing the music
of Richard Rodgers and the lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein II and is
directed for LCT by Brandon Davis with vocal direction by Tim Searby.
The production is fast-paced and loaded with beautiful, well-known
and not-so-well-known songs from several of the Rodgers and
Hammerstein collaborations, filled with comedy and some beautiful,
tender moments.
The show opens Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Johnston Center and will
run Friday and Saturday also at 7:30 p.m. and then at 2 p.m. Sunday.

A powerhouse cast of voices include Aaron Hinton, Julie King, Barry King, Kelly
Rosendahl, Randy Dunham, Linda Cole, Brian Bolton, Sheralyn Bolton, Curt
Schleich, Lauren Stanfield, Jill Voyles and Emmary Roemer. The show is
accompanied by Kay Dobson.
Songs from the performance include selections from "Carousel," "State Fair,"
"The Sound of Music," and "Oklahoma" among others.

LCT will continue the season with "On Golden Pond" June 27-30, and "Shrek the
