LINCOLN
- How do you determine the proper traffic pattern altitude? What
about IFR right of way considerations? What are the proper traffic
pattern entry and exit procedures? How do agricultural and
ultralight aircraft operations fit in? UAS operations? Can I do a
straight in approach?

There’s plenty of debate over proper traffic pattern
operations, especially at non towered airports. After twenty-five
years, the FAA recently published updated non- towered flight
options. Andy Dow, Master CFI and Designated Pilot Examiner, will
separate myth from fact and explain best practices for safe pattern
ops.
Local pilot and instructor Larry Whitbeck will also give a brief
presentation of the wildlife hazards present at the Logan County
Airport this time of year and the mitigation strategies available to
pilots.
