Former students enjoy 98th annual Atlanta High School Alumni Banquet

[June 06, 2019]    The 98th annual Atlanta High School Alumni Banquet was held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Olympia South Grade School Gym in Atlanta.

There were 140 present for the catered meal served by Peggy’s Place of Lincoln.

The following classes were honored: 1944, 1949, 1954, 1959, 1964 and 1969. Guests were present from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Florida, Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, California and Tennessee.

Gifts were presented as follows:

Emma Lou Colaw Brandt, Class of 1941, most mature alumni present;

Tom Shifflet, Class of 1959, alumni who traveled the farthest from Chino, California;

Bill Horn and Karen Tabor Horn, Classes of 1965 and 1966, for having never missed a banquet since graduation.

Next year’s banquet will be held Saturday, May 23, 2020.
