The Lincoln Heritage
Museum had a special visitor Monday, June 3, when Abe himself
stopped by. Mr. Lincoln (Portrayed by Dale Blanshan of Rochester,
Minn.) was accompanying a tour group from Historic Adventure Travel
Tours, a Minnesota-based historic travel tour operator.
While at the museum Blanshan presented Lincoln College with a
special artifact, an unusual copy of Samuel Kirkham's 19th century
English Grammar. Lincoln is known to have studied grammar using
Kirkham’s book.
The tour was part of a “Mark Twain’s Hannibal and Abraham Lincoln’s
Springfield” tour.
