Jermaine Hamlin, a 2019 Lincoln Community High School graduate, was
recently selected to represent the Lincoln Railsplitters in the 2019
Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Basketball Game.
Hamlin was a member of the Boys Class 3A-4A South All-Stars that
played Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Pontiac High School.
Hamlin scored six points, including a rim-rattling dunk in the first
half. The game between the North and the South All-Stars was a dunk
show, with many impressive acrobatic dunks among the recent high
school graduates. The North won by a final of 132-121.
Anthony Roberts of Oak Park River Forest High School was named the
MVP for the North. Roberts will attend St. Cloud University. Jack
McDonald of Geneva High School won the Leadership Award for the
North. McDonald will attend Augustana College.
E.J. Liddell of Belleville West Township was named the MVP for the
South. Liddell will attend Ohio State University. Jacquan Binion of
Kankakee High School won the Leadership Award for the South. Binion
is undecided on his college choice.
As for Hamlin, he will attend Link Year in Branson, Missouri to
further his basketball and academic career in the fall.

According to Lincoln's Coach Neil Alexander, "Link Year Prep is like
a fifth year high school. Hopefully Jermaine will go to a four-year
university after that. He will get a whole lot of basketball at Link
Year." Hamlin will also take college credit classes that will
transfer to a university.
This summer Hamlin is playing for the AAU team, Bradley Beal Elite
of St. Louis.
Congratulations, Jermaine!
