Bats come alive (again) as Post 263 wins (again)

The first seven batters in Post 263’s lineup combined for 16 hits on Thursday night as the senior team beat Macon County on the road, 12 to 4.

Nate Arnold led the way offensively, going 4-for-4 with a double and a triple. He had four runs scored and two RBI while walking once.

Keagan Ferguson and Colton Holliday each had three hits, including a double and triple by Holliday. Trent Koehler doubled twice.

Post 263 (5-3) also combined to draw nine walks against seven strikeouts. They also capitalized on four errors by Macon County.

On the mound, Alex Bogdanic picked up the win. He allowed four runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Cam Glick pitched the final four innings, striking out seven and walking three. He allowed just two hits.

Post 263 is set to play Canton on the road twice on Saturday. Game times are 11 a.m. and 1 p.m..
