Last Sunday evening
was the first of the summer concerts in the park for the Lincoln
Area Music Society. The evening was well attended with many
spectators bringing their lawn chairs and finding a comfortable,
cool spot under the many trees in Latham Park. And, for a summer
evening, there was an amazing lack of pestering bug guests!
The Lincoln Woman's Club served cake and ice cream, and many were
seen enjoying a nice big serving.
The summer concert series will continue this weekend and for the
next three Sundays after this one. Music starts at 7 p.m.
LAMS has also announced that on August 9th they will be hosting the
Brass Band of Central Illinois. Keep an eye out for more details on
that event at a later date.
