		 Send a link to a friend Free Summer Lunch has 
			returned in Lincoln for youth ages 18 and under.
 Lunches are available all summer on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 
			of each week through August 1st. Meals are served 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 
			p.m. at two locations - Washington Monroe Elementary or Lincoln 
			Junior High schools.
 
 The no cost, no enrollment healthy meals are provided free to youth. 
			Adults attending with a child can also get lunch for $2.
 
 The program kicked off on June 4th with a cookout featuring 
			hamburgers and hot dogs held at the Lincoln Junior High Baseball 
			Diamond. A large crowd enjoyed plenty of food, fun games, activities 
			and inflatable slides.
 
 “District #27 in partnership with local churches, United Way of 
			Logan County and the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Community 
			Health Collaborative is excited to provide this wonderful 
			opportunity for Lincoln youth this summer. We invite and encourage 
			not only our students, but any children 18 and younger to take 
			advantage of this wonderful program,” said Kent Froebe, District 27 
			superintendent.
 
 The SFSP takes place throughout the state of Illinois. All children 
			18 or younger are eligible to participate in any location. To find

			www.summermealsillinois.org.
 
 Free Summer Meals are part of the Summer Food Service Program 
			sponsored by the United States Department of Agriculture and 
			administered by the Illinois State Board of Education.
