			Hoffert, 69, of Lincoln, passed away at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 
			9, 2019, at his home. |

							Obituary 
							Donald L. Hoffert, 69, of Lincoln, 
							passed away at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019, 
							at his home.
 Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 
							2019, at 3:00 p.m. at Peasley Funeral Home. Mr. Carl 
							Jones will officiate. Cremation Rites have been 
							accorded.
 
 A time of visitation with his family will be 
							available prior to the services Saturday from 1:00 
							p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
 
 Donald Lee Hoffert was born November 29, 1949, in 
							Lincoln, the son of Robert E. and Verniece “Totty” 
							Liesman Hoffert. He was united in marriage with 
							Karen A. Lawrence on November 13, 1971. She 
							survives.

							Donald is survived by his wife, 
							Karen; their children Anganette (Brian) Pruett of 
							Pawnee and Anthony (Ashleigh) Hoffert of Lincoln; 
							one granddaughter, Alexis “Lexi” Anne Mool; two 
							sisters: Roberta (Darrell) Wibben and Joyce (Steve) 
							Geary; and one brother: Darwin (Beth) Hoffert.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; and one 
							brother, Allen Hoffert.
 
 Donald was employed by the State of Illinois 
							Department of Corrections as a stationary fireman. 
							He was a 1968 graduate of Lincoln Community High 
							School and a member Holy Family Church. Donnie loved 
							to fish and golf and referee volleyball and 
							basketball games.
 
 Memorials may be made to the family or an 
							organization of the donor's choice.
 
 Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley 
							Funeral Home of Lincoln.
