FREE electronics recycling this Saturday

The Mount Pulaski Hilltop Club is sponsoring a
free electronic recycling drop-off day on Saturday, June 22 from 9
a.m. to noon at the Mount Pulaski Township Shed, 404 S. Spring
Street.

The following items will be accepted:

Desktop, Laptop, and Tablet Computers

LCD Monitors
-
Small Printers
(for large, office printers please contact the store)
-
Computer Peripherals (keyboards, mice, etc.)

Satellite and Cable Equipment
-
Projectors
-
VCRs and DVD Players
-
Video Game Consoles
-
Radios
-
Speakers
-
Cellular/Mobile Phones, Smart Phones and
Telephones (including PBX equipment)
-
Toner
-
Networking Equipment and Cables
-
Mailroom Equipment
-
Point of Sale Equipment
-
Pagers
-
Cameras and Camcorders
-
Power Tools (including batteries)
-
Fax Machines
-
Answering Machines
-
Battery Backups and Uninterruptable Power
Supplies (UPS)

Power and Accessory Cables

The following items will also be accepted for a fee:

CRT and LCD/LED televisions - $20 each
-
CRT Monitors - $10 each
-
Non-LCD/Plasma televisions or monitors,
projection televisions and consol televisions = $40 each
The recyclers would prefer not to take broken
televisions but will for a fee on $50.
In addition, those who pay a fee for recycling are entitled
according to state regulations to receive a voucher for the money
paid. Vouchers may in turn be used for purchases at the BLH Store in
Springfield.
Items that WILL NOT be accepted on Saturday include
the following:

Microwaves, toasters, and other small kitchen
appliances

Refrigerators, stoves, and other large appliances
-
Broken TV’s with broken glass, or otherwise
dismantled (again if broken the shop may take for a $50 fee)

Air conditioning units

Pressurized canisters of any kind

Live ammunition

Needles of any sort

Alkaline Batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, etc.)

Carbon Monoxide/Smoke detectors
Items may also be picked up at your home or business
for a donation to the Hilltop Club. Please call in advance, items
will be scheduled on a first come first served basis. To arrange for
a pick-up contact Brian Beecraft at 217-737-3812 or Matt Bobell at
217-737-6387.
Recycling is collected and BLH Computer’s and Recycling, in
Springfield. Questions regarding items not on the above lists should
be addressed directly to BLH at 217-585-1580 or visit their website
at blhcomputers.com. The store is open Monday through Friday from 8
a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday’s 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is closed on
Sunday.
