Obituary
Janice E. Poffenbarger, 75, passed
away at 1:00 p.m. on Monday June 17, 2019 at her
home.
Janice was born on November 24, 1943 in Decatur,
daughter of Harold and Loraine (Vaughan) Wubben. She
married John Poffenbarger on July 11, 1965. He
survives her.
Also surviving are siblings: Julian (Lou Ann) Wubben
of Mount Pulaski and Judith (Norm) Maxheimer of
Lincoln, brother-in-law: Jim (Cheryl) Poffenbarger
of Mount Pulaski, two sister-in-laws: Nancy Shanle
and Janet Cherry of Mount Pulaski, 13 nieces and
nephews; 23 great nieces and nephews and 4
great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in
death by her parents.

Janice was a member of Mount Pulaski
Christian Church. She was a member of the Lions
Club, Mount Pulaski Women’s Club, American Legion
Auxiliary # 447, and the American Business Women’s
Association.
Private family graveside services will be held at a
later date at Lake Bank Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Janice’s name to Zion
Lutheran Pre-School in Mount Pulaski.
Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.
