Lincoln Junior High Trojans wrestling team
competed at the IESA State wrestling finals held in DeKalb
Illinois over the past weekend. “I am pleased to announce that
185lb Niccolas Sundeen finished in 5th place in the state
finals,” said Coach Alex Dawson.
Niccoals finished with a 4-2 record over the two days to finish
his season with a 36-9 record.
I also like to thank our other four qualifiers who battled over
the two day tournament and finish with 1-2 records,” he added.
They finished their season with the following records:
75lb Miley Sampson 27-16,
90lb Jacob Lawrence 30-15,
105lb Colbie Glenn 31-8, a
112 lb Isaac Decker 36-8.
“With the season now at a end, it’s time to start the off season
training and with three of these five young men returning next
season with the state wrestling tournament experience is a bonus
, that we as a coaches can’t teach them,” states coach Dawson.
