Lincoln Taekwondo participates at Auvenshine Tournament

On March 16th the Lincoln Taekwondo students participated in the

Auvenshine’s Taekwondo 20th Annual Martial Arts Tournament at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois

The event was hosted by Master’s Bill and Patty Auvenshine. The Master’s Auvenshine conducted a very well organized tournament with participants from throughout the Midwest. There was a very high caliber of competition in a variety of styles. All were tough!

"This day was a pleasant experience for the Lincoln competitors, and especially pleasant for me personally as I was reacquainted with several dear friends and many valued mentors from my Taekwondo past." said Scott Brown.

The Lincoln Taekwondo enjoyed eighteen first places, four second places and two third places!

Thirteen of fourteen Lincoln competitors who participated in Olympic Style Sparring Competition resulted in nine first places and four second places

Eleven of the competitors participating in Forms Competition resulted in nine first places and two third places in their respective divisions

Khoa Phan won the Overall Black Belt Forms Grand Champion
