Lincoln Railers fall to Williamsville 9-4

The Lincoln Railers hosted
Williamsville on Friday afternoon and before the game, members
of the 8U Chill softball team took the field and were part of
the introductions of the starting lineups. Each Railer player
also presented the Chill team member an autographed team ball.
Sydney Worth sang the National
Anthem prior to the game with Williamsville.
On the field, the game belonged
to the Williamsville Lady Bullets, who won by a final of 9-4.
The Lady Bullets slugged their way to an 8-0 lead after just
three innings at the plate. Lincoln scored a run in the bottom
of the third inning on an RBI single by Sydney Worth to make the
score 8-1. Lincoln closed the gap to 9-3 in the sixth inning
after a two-run single by Bayleigh Gillum. Emily Paulus added an
RBI double in the home half of the seventh inning to settle the
final score at 9-4.
Abby Glenn (1-1) took the loss
for Lincoln. Glenn tossed seven innings and allowed nine runs on
14 hits. She struck out one batter.
Maddie Murphy earned the win for
Williamsville.
Harleigh Gray and Maranda File
slugged home runs for Williamsville.

The Lady Railsplitters are sporting new uniforms this
season and are ready to take the field.
Each Railsplitter
presented an autographed ball to an 8U Chill player before the game.
Abby Glenn hands off two softballs in the circle to
future Railsplitter pitchers.
The 8U Lincoln Chill team
Jacey Cooper slugged a single for the Railsplitters versus
Williamsville.
