Registrations are still being accepted for a special workshop on digital marketing that will be held March 28, on the Lincoln College campus.

Businesses trying to navigate the ever-changing world of digital marketing will have an opportunity to learn from three area professionals at the workshop March 28, hosted by the MacKinnon School of Business at Lincoln College.

The Digital Marketing Media Strategy event is part of the school’s ongoing “Here’s How” series aimed at helping area businesses tackle current challenges, explained Dr. Diana Heeb Bivona, of the MacKinnon School of Business.

The workshop will be held Thursday, March 28, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Alumni Room of the Meyer-Evans Student Center on the Lincoln College campus. Cost for event is $10 before March 27, or $20 the day of the event. It will conclude at 12:30 p.m.

“We were very pleased to be able to secure three outstanding business professionals to share their expertise at this workshop,” Dr. Heeb Bivona said. “Each has practical experience that can easily be put into practice by businesses or organizations needing to develop a digital strategy on a limited budget.”

The sessions will be: Creating a Digital Marketing Strategy, presented by Eric Broughton; Managing Your Website, presented by Lisa Kuhlman; and Social Media 101: Raise Awareness and Engage Customers, presented by Cindy Smith.

Kuhlman is the founder of Grayhaven Design Studio, a graphic design agency that specializes in visual storytelling for small businesses and nonprofits. She has a passion for connecting with entrepreneurs and collaborating with them to create effective designs that tell their unique story to the world. Smith has been a professional photographer for 15 years. Her experience began with weddings/events and portrait work until she recently decided to focus more on her passion: visual storytelling. Her eyes were opened to the world of digital marketing when she decided to re-brand her photography business. This passion for creating visual narratives, along with a new understanding of digital marketing, led her to study the use of social media to communicate, connect, market, and share with her community.

In November of 2017, she officially re-launched as Seek Studios, specializing in photojournalistic photography. When she is not behind the camera or running her business, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, singing, co-leading the Women’s ministry at her church and watching Hallmark Movies with a cup of tea. Her website is www.seekstudios.net.
