Heartland Community College Foundation is looking for
players and sponsors for the Lincoln Scholarship Scramble Golf
Outing on Friday, May 10 at Lincoln Elks Country Club (1020 1520th
St., Lincoln, IL).
The golf outing raises scholarship funding for Logan County students
attending or planning to attend Heartland Community College.
“This event is a wonderful way to connect with the community and
make an impact by benefitting local students at Lincoln Center,”
said Kristi Powell, Associate Director of Heartland Lincoln Center.
“The funds raised go towards scholarships for Logan Country
students.”
Since opening in the spring of 2018, the new Heartland Lincoln
Center facility has offered expanded Work Ready programs including a
Phlebotomy class which boasted a 100 percent pass rate. The larger
center gives Logan County students an increased number of options
closer to home.
“We’ve been able to add Agriculture classes to the curriculum in
Lincoln and this fall we will also offer a Certified Nursing Assistant program,”
Powell said. “The development of these new programs and courses provides
opportunities for the HCC Foundation to assist even more Logan County students
with scholarship assistance.”
