This
wide view of the third floor courtroom at the Logan County
Courthouse shows where the drop ceiling tiles came crashing down on
Thursday morning, due to heavy rains and leaks around the courthouse
dome allowing water to gather in areas above the ceiling.

The second view shows the large hole about the size of a
dinner plate in the original courthouse ceiling. Consisting
of what appears to be concrete and plaster, the materials
were soaked through with rainwater until they finally fell.
All this occurred at around 9 a.m. Thursday morning. The
courtroom had to be vacated and then in the afternoon, it
was announced that the entire third floor of the courthouse
is now closed to the public. |
