Railsplitters shutout  Mount Zion 5-0 behind Arnold's gem on the mound

Nate Arnold pitched a gem on Friday versus the Mount Zion Braves at Mike Curry Field. Arnold went the distance and shutout the Braves 5-0. Arnold only gave up three hits over seven innings of work. The senior struck out six Braves and only walked one. 

Trent Koehler and Colton Holliday led the Lincoln offense. Koehler was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.  Holliday was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. 

Koehler got Lincoln on the scoreboard in the bottom half of the third inning with an RBI single. Holliday also added an RBI single in the inning to give Lincoln a 2-0 lead. 

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Keagan Ferguson had a run-scoring single for  Lincoln. The Railsplitters also got a run on an error. 

Koehler batted in another run for Lincoln in the bottom of the sixth inning. His RBI double to right field scored Dylan Singleton to give Lincoln the 5-0 advantage. 

With Arnold dealing on the mound for Lincoln, the Railsplitters shutout the Braves 5-0. 

Dylan Roberts suffered the loss for Mount Zion. Roberts allowed two runs on three hits over three and two-thirds innings. He struck out one batter.
