Springfield High defeats Mount Pulaski 11-1 in five innings

The Hilltoppers fell to the Springfield  Senators Monday night by a final score of 11-1 in five innings. The two teams played at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield.

 

The Hilltoppers only run came in the third inning on an RBI single by Logan DeRight that scored Jonathan Shehorn.

 

Tanner Farris took the loss for Mount Pulaski. Farris allowed seven runs on six hits over four innings. He struck out four batters. 

 

Zach Richmond got the win for Springfield. He allowed one run on three hits and struck out seven batters over five innings. 

 

Mount Pulaski ends the regular season with a 20-5 record. 

 

The Hilltoppers host Regionals and will play Wednesday night at 4:30 p.m.
