Lincoln defeated Urbana 15-4 on Thursday afternoon behind a three-hit performance from Colton Holliday. He was just a home run shy of hitting for the cycle. Holliday also knocked in four runs to lead the Railsplitters to victory.

Drew Singleton also had three hits for Lincoln and batted in two runs.

Lincoln spotted starting pitcher Bryce Watkins five runs in the top of the first inning.

Urbana came back with four runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Justin Long pitched in relief of Watkins and shut down Urbana the rest of the game. Long earned the win by tossing four and one-third innings and striking out four batters.

The Railsplitters pushed five runs across in the third inning to take a solid 11-4 lead. Drew Singleton and Keagan Ferguson had RBI singles in the inning and Colton Holliday added an RBI double.

A four-run fifth inning put Lincoln up 15-4 and Urbana was retired quickly in the bottom half of the inning.

Lincoln's record improves to 19-12 on the season.

The Railsplitters will host Normal West today at Mike Curry Field at 4:30 p.m.
