Athlete Ben Fricke of Mount Pulaski commits to Quincy University

On Thursday, May 9, Ben Fricke - Mount Pulaski Senior - signed to
play division 2 baseball at Quincy University.
Ben has been involved in numerous school sports and activities
during his time at MPHS. He has been a member of the Varsity
Baseball and Golf teams, and a member of the JV Basketball team. He
has participated in Pep band, Marching band, Concert band, NHS, FFA,
FCCLA, Student Council, and Spanish Club. Ben has also been a
four-year member of the National Society of High School Scholars.

Ben has also received numerous awards and recognitions. He was
recently award the Senior-of-the-Year Award at Mount Pulaski High
School. He has been on High Honor Roll consistently during his four
years at MPHS.

He was a two-time class president and serves as a Senior Spanish
Club officer, Senior Class Treasurer, and Student Council Treasurer.
Ben has earned several athletic recognitions as well. He was named a
USSSA Great Lakes All American, named to the 1st Team Tomahawk
Conference (Jr. Year) and 2nd Team Decatur Herald and Review (Jr.
Year) for baseball, and was named a Game Day USA All Star.
