[May 19, 2019]  LINCOLN - University of Illinois Extension Master Naturalist Pam Moriearty will team up with local beekeeper Jay Gaydosh to offer “The Buzz on Bees”, a two-session workshop series on native bees and domestic honeybees for youth 10 – 16 years old (because we will be working around live bees, maximum enrollment will be 10 participants).

The Buzz on Bees sessions will be held at Creekside Outdoor Center for Environmental Education north of Lincoln, IL from 10:30 a.m. to noon on May 25 and June 1, 2019.

The sessions will cover biology and behavior, habitats, role in pollination and current threats to bee populations. Activities will include games, projects and field studies of honeybees and native bees.
