Obituary
Larry Lee Bailey, 71, passed away at
3:00 a.m. on May 12, 2019 at his home surrounded by
his loving family.
Larry was born on October 31, 1947 in Lincoln, son
of George V. and Delores A. (Roehm) Bailey. He
married Sandy Prince on July 31, 1966. She survives
him.
Also surviving Larry are his daughters Pam (John)
Mays and Laura (Keith) Brewer both of Wentzville,
MO; one granddaughter Delaney Mays, one brother
Daniel Bailey of Clearwater, FL, one sister Carolyn
Fults of Springfield. He was preceded in death by
his parents.
Larry proudly served in the United States Army from
November 14, 1966- November 14, 1968. He served with
the 4th infantry division in the Central Highlands
of Vietnam. He was awarded the Combat Infantry
Badge, Purple Heart for wounds received in Vietnam,
The Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service
Stars and the National Defense Medal.

Larry retired from Caterpillar
Tractor Company in Decatur on August 2, 2002, where
he was Manufacturing Manager over the construction
and mining truck division.
Larry was a member of Cumberland
Presbyterian Church. Larry will be truly missed by
his family and friends.
Services for Larry will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday May 14,
2019 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Lincoln
with Pastor Steve Blaum officiating. Visitation will
be one hour prior to service also at the church.
Burial at Zion Cemetery will follow the service
where full military rites will be accorded by the
American Legion Post # 263.
Memorials may be made in Larry’s name to The
Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
