United Hoops moves annual tournament from Peoria to Lincoln
Games this weekend on multiple courts throughout town

United Hoops, a youth basketball organization, will be hosting the 7th Annual United Hoops Spring Championships in Lincoln, on May 25-26, 2019 in local gyms in Lincoln. This event has previously been held in Peoria, and was moved at the last minute to Lincoln.

This year’s field will see seventy-teams in all age levels participate. Teams featured from Lincoln, include the WLB girl’s 3rd-4th, girl’s 6th, and girl’s 7th-8th grade teams and a group of boy’s 3rd-5th of future Railers called Lincoln Elite. The boy’s 8th and 9th grade team of IL Nets feature students from Lincoln, Mount Pulaski and Illini Central.

Teams will play a total of four games, two on each day. Saturday will be pool play with assigned times and gym locations. Sunday will feature bracket play where teams play out for the championship in their bracket. All schedules can be viewed at YBNetwork.NET.

Schedules will be posted at the gyms and updated to the website on Saturday night to reflect team assignments for Sunday’s bracket games.

Admission both days will be $6 Adult/$4 Students (5 and under free).

A special thanks from United Hoops to the local facilities who were quick to work with the organization with the last-minute change of venue. Facilities in use this weekend include: Lincoln College (Lincoln Center), District 27 (Jr. High, Central, Washington-Monroe), West Lincoln Broadwell, Lincoln Park District, Chester East Lincoln.


More about United Hoops: United Hoops, previously called AYBT, is a youth basketball organization hosting several basketball tournaments in Central Illinois.
