Mount Pulaski American Legion hosting two Memorial Day events on Monday

[May 24, 2019]  The Mount Pulaski American Legion Post 447 invites all to attend two Memorial Day Services at local cemeteries on Monday May 27, 2019.

The schedule and program is as follows:

• 10 a.m. at Mount Pulaski Cemetery at the Veteran Memorial

• 11:30 a.m. at Steenbergen Cemetery at the Veill Chapel

Order of events at both locations

• Raising the colors

• Placement of wreaths - local groups

• Placement of flowers - Mount Pulaski youth

• Music by the MPHS band

• Minister - Casey Mccormick

• Presentation of boys and girls state essay winners

• Speaker - Col. Lee Wheeler - USAF

• Firing squad - Mount Pulaski American Legion Post # 447

• In case of rain - will be held at the American Legion Building

The community is invited to attend either or both ceremonies.
