[May 28, 2019]  LINCOLN - Logan County 4-H has planned several summer youth programs that are free of charge to attend.

4-H SIZZLIN’ SUMMER SCIENCE ADVENTURE!

Make Your Summer Sizzle with STEM-tastic, Hands-On, FUN Science! Are you interested in Science or think that being a Scientist sounds like a fun career? Young scientists will experience bridge building, explore electricity by making their own flashlight, find their way through a hexbug maze and play exciting minute to win it science games!

Open to ages 8 and older to attend.

DATES/TIMES/LOCATIONS (Minimum 6/Maximum 25 participants per site):
June 19 —10:30 am - Noon—Lincoln Public Library (Pegram Room)
July 12—10:30 am – Noon - Atlanta Public Library
July 23 – 10:30 am – Noon – Mt. Pulaski Public Library



4-H COOKING 101 CAMP

4-H is offering a two day Cooking 101 Camp that will teach skills needed to prepare and serve healthy snacks and meals. Join us to learn skills ranging from how to crack an egg, to measuring, to even planning your own menu! Participants will be able to make and taste all the recipes they create. Open to youth ages 10-14 on June 24 & 26 from 1-4 pm at the Lincoln Public Library (Pegram Room). Maximum of 20 participants accepted.

AG ADVENTURES WITH QUEEN MOLLY

Logan County Fair Queen Molly Schempp will host this program where youth will learn more about different agricultural products through hands-on activities. “Ag in the Classroom” is co-sponsor. Open to ages 7-14 on Tuesday, June 4th – choose from morning session 10:30 – Noon OR afternoon session from 1:30 – 3:00 pm at the Logan County Extension Office (maximum of 20 participants per session.

4-H THEATRE CAMP

4-H will host a theatre camp for those entering grades 6th through 9th on June 17, 18, and 19th from 1 – 3 pm at the Logan County Extension Office. Theatre camp will give students a chance to explore various types of theatre including Group Interpretation. The camp will focus on learning skills to participate in theatre in high school. The camp will end with a performance on the final day highlighting what has been learned. Maximum of 10 participants.
