To complete their 2019 exhibit season, Logan County Arts members
will hold their annual Holiday Show and Shop event at the Lincoln
Art Institute Gallery at 112 S. McLean St, Lincoln. The show will
open with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 14,
2019.
For this event, the artists will present a variety of items suitable
as distinctive gifts and holiday decor, including original paintings
and photography with local and nature themes, handcrafted wooden
boxes and cutting boards, tapestry, interior décor, and various
holiday decorations and cards. According to gallerist Moses
Pinkerton, the holiday show has been very popular and well attended
in the past. “People appreciate the chance to choose unique gifts
and decorations for the season. The artworks have appealed to a wide
audience, and the prices are very reasonable.”
This show will include a silent auction taking place between 5 and 7
pm during the opening. Each artist has donated a piece for the
bidding, and all proceeds will go to the upkeep of the Art Institute
Gallery. Winning bidders will not need to be present to claim
their items.
