[November 14, 2019]
Immanuel Lutheran Church has a new Interim Pastor, the Reverend
Stephen Goodwin. Born and raised in Manchester, England, Pastor
Goodwin denies having an accent (he thinks everyone else has one)
but admits that the distinctive manner of his speech encourages
people to listen, and hopefully pay attention, to his sermons.
Before coming to Lincoln he has served as interim pastor in Altamont
and Fairbury. For 15 years Goodwin was pastor at Anchor and has
previously served congregations in Metropolis, Land Between the
Lakes, Kentucky; Hitchcock, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Join us to hear his delivery of the holy scripture on Sundays at
9:00am or Saturdays at 5:00pm.
Our Christmas Eve Celebration begins with a 2:00pm Ecumenical
Service which includes Lessons and Carols and 7:00pm and 10:00pm
Candlelight Christmas Eve Services both including communion.
