commemorating first anniversary of tornado December First

The community of Taylorville is commemorating the first anniversary
of the EF-3 tornado that hit the community on December First, 2018,
with an event at the Taylorville V-F-W Post 4495, 515 North West
Avenue, on Sunday, December First, from 2 til 4 in the afternoon.
Mayor Bruce Barry has organized the event, which is open to the
public. Snacks, soda, and water will be provided. Entertainment will
be provided by the Capital Big Band.

Several special guests have been invited to appear as well.
Over 700 structures were damaged in the tornado, with 33 being destroyed.
Recovery in the affected area is continuing nearly a year after the event.
The December First event at the Taylorville V-F-W will also be broadcast live on
WMKR Genuine Country 94.3.
