[September 30, 2019]  LINCOLN - Ruth A. Matson, 88, of Lincoln, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the Peasley Funeral Home.

Service: Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home

Obituary

Ruth A. Matson, 88, of Lincoln, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Matson will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln with Rev. Steve Blaum officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the Peasley Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Keys Cemetery in Beason.

Ruth A. Matson was born on May 20, 1931, in Lincoln. She is the last member of her immediate family. She was united in marriage to Robert W. Matson on July 20, 1951. He survives.

Also surviving Ruth are her children: Regina (Don) Bryant and Mitchell Ray Matson; daughter-in-law Yvonne Matson; four grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her six siblings and two sons: Bobby Joe Matson and Reggie Wayne Matson.

Ruth graduated from the Mt. Pulaski High School in 1949. She worked at Myers Industries for many years.

Her hobbies included woodworking, crafts, gardening, and watching hummingbirds in the yard.

She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
