			- David A. Hickey, 61, of Lincoln, was called home on 
			Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Advocate Bromenn Medical Center in 
			Normal, surrounded by peace and love. |

							Obituary  
							 
							David A. Hickey, 61, of Lincoln, was 
							called home on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 
							Advocate Bromenn Medical Center in Normal, 
							surrounded by peace and love.
 David was born on August 16, 1958 in Lincoln, the 
							son of Eugene and Betty (Kraus) Hickey Sr. He 
							married Crystal Lynn Ragland on June 6, 1981 in 
							Lincoln. She preceded him in death on April 20, 
							2019.
 
 David is survived by his children, Amber Hickey, 
							Adam (Amy) Hickey, and Autumn Hickey; his father, 
							Eugene Hickey Sr.; his siblings, Pearlann “Penny” 
							Pilbean, Eugene (Marsha) Hickey Jr., Gary Hickey, 
							Joe Hickey, and Regina Maas; one beloved grandson, 
							Gage Adam Hickey; his sister-in-law, Candace (Steve) 
							Buche; numerous nieces and nephews; and his poodle, 
							Jack.
 
 David was preceded in death by his mother and his 
							wife.

							David proudly served his country in 
							The United State Marine Corps as a Vietnam Veteran, 
							and most recently served as a Charter Member and 
							Sergeant-at-Arms in The Marine Corps League Robert 
							E. Graue Detachment. David was truly a man who never 
							knew a stranger. 
 Services for David will be held at 1:30 p.m. on 
							Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader 
							Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place 
							three hours prior to the service (10:00 a.m. - 1:00 
							p.m.) also at the funeral home. Burial will follow 
							the services at Atlanta Cemetery, Atlanta.
 
 Memorial donations may be made in David’s name to 
							The Zion Lutheran School Music Program or Toys for 
							Tots.
