The Lincoln College Women’s Volleyball team ran their current
winning streak to four matches in-a-row with a three set sweep of
Lindenwood-Belleville University on Thursday evening. The win was
Lincoln’s 20th of the season against just eight losses.
The Lady Lynx took control early in the match with a 25-16 opening
set win. Set two was more of a contest as LBU rallied from a
five-point deficit to take a 17-16 lead, but an LBU ball handling
error followed by an Ashlyn Slater (Grain Valley, MO) kill put
Lincoln back on top 18-17. The Lady Lynx would go on to take the set
25-22 then carry that momentum over into set three to win it 25-18.
Senior right side hitter Mikayla Seibert (Mackinaw) led LC in kills
with 10. Junior Kayla Battle (Aurora) tallied six kills, Hannah
Cameron (Lincoln) was good for five, and Kaylyn Hoffert (Lincoln)
and Ashlyn Slater had four kills apiece.

they travel to St. Louis, Missouri to participate in the St. Louis
