		 Huffer 
		named October 2019 ALMH Colleague of the Month

		Jeffrey Huffer of Lincoln has been named the October Abraham Lincoln 
		Memorial Hospital Colleague of the Month. 
		Huffer serves as an electrical technician in the plant operations 
		department at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. A graduate 
		of Lincoln Community High School, Huffer earned his associate’s degree 
		in electricity/ electronics from Lincoln Land Community College.  |

			 He completed a five-year apprenticeship in the IBEW 193 and has 
			worked over 25 years as a journeyman electrician. 
 In his role at ALMH Huffer maintains electrical equipment, oversees 
			building automation systems and assists in a variety of facilities 
			projects.
 
 “I’m proud to be part of a team of people who strive to make a great 
			hospital for our community,” said the long-time Lincoln resident. 
			“Our plant operations team works hard to keep our building in prime 
			shape and ensure patient comfort,” said Huffer.
 
			
			 
			
 Huffer was nominated by colleagues who wanted to recognize his skill 
			as an electrician, commitment to safety, and positive attitude.

The nomination read, “Jeff is meticulous in adhering to safety procedures which 
is critical as he is an electrician who routinely works on dangerous equipment.” 
Another colleague appreciated his trouble-shooting to identify solutions when 
they aren’t always readily available and added, “when Jeff fixes something, it 
stays fixed.” Another colleague stated that “Jeff is always polite and friendly 
with everyone. He respects others and shows compassion on a daily basis.” 
ALMH is a 25-bed critical access hospital located at 200 Stahlhut Drive in
