The Lincoln College Men’s and Women’s Bowling teams recently competed in the Mid-States Championships in Wichita, KS. The LC men’s team placed 23rd out of 34 teams in the competition and the ladies placed 25th out of 26.

Lincoln’s top individual performer was Joliet West High School grad Michael Grether. Gerther placed 29th out of 327 bowlers with an average of 199.67 across all events entered. Freshman Christian Knowleton (Plainfield) placed 60th with a 187.3 average.

“Overall I am happy with the progress both teams have been making since our first tournament,” said LC Coach Candace Van Bogaert. “The Mid-States was the first big tournament for these athletes, and I feel like they held their own this weekend. Both teams have things to work on to get ready for our next tournament this coming weekend.”

Lincoln’s next event will be at the Lindenwood University Lions Classic in St. Charles, Missouri on October 26th and 27th.
