directors for 2020 productions

Lincoln Community Theatre is looking for directors for their 2020
productions of The 1940s Radio Hour, The Somewhat True Tale of Robin
Hood and Into The Woods.
Listed as a play with music, The 1940s Radio Hour portrays the final
holiday broadcast of the Mutual Manhattan Variety Cavalcade on the
New York radio station WOV in December 1942, complete with Christmas
tunes and sound effects. The LCT production will open early June
2020 and rehearsals are set to begin in April 2020.
The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood is a Monty Pythonesque comedic
version of the traditional tale, set for late June 2020. Rehearsals
will begin in May 2020 with an emphasis of casting actors between 7
and 17 years of age.
The finale production of the 2020 season will be the all-ages
musical fairytale extravaganza Into the Woods to be performed at the
end of July 2020. Rehearsals will begin in June 2020.

A scheduled six-week rehearsal period plus one week of tech in the theatre prior
to performances is required, by policy. All rehearsals and performance spaces
will be in Lincoln, IL. Auditions and callbacks will be scheduled beginning in
March 2020.
The LCT Board of Directors will interview for these positions by appointment on
Sunday, October 20, 2019, from 1-4 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 402 Pekin
St, Lincoln, IL. Directors may include staff personnel to assist them in
presenting ideas regarding sets, costumes, special effects of other technical
