Delavan wins the 2019 Logan County Junior High Boys Baseball Tournament over Mount Pulaski

Delavan defeated Mount Pulaski 11-6 on Saturday in the championship game of the 2019 Logan County Junior High Boys Baseball Tournament.

Starter Cole Noreuil was the winning pitcher for Delavan. Noreuil tossed four innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits. He struck out eight batters. Wyatt Pierson pitched three shutout innings in relief and allowed just one hit and struck out three Bruin batters.

At the plate Noreuil was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored for Delavan. Alex Seaton was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two stolen bases.

Landon Smith suffered the loss for Mount Pulaski. He threw four innings and gave up eight runs on seven hits. Smith struck out seven batters. Nolan Deibert and Luke Martin pitched in relief for the Bruins.

Kolin Gibbs led the Bruins at the plate with a 2-for-4 performance and an RBI and a run scored.

To advance to the championship game, Delavan defeated Chester East Lincoln 3-1 and Mount Pulaski defeated Carroll Catholic 11-3 in earlier games on Saturday.
