Lincoln Center hosts Open Truck event

Adults looking to learn more about a career as a truck driver will
have a unique opportunity to learn about a quick pathway to the
profession at Heartland Community College Lincoln.
HCC Lincoln is hosting an “Open Truck” event on Tuesday, September
24 from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the College parking lot at 2201
Woodlawn Road.
During the event Truck Driver Training instructor Dave Keim will be
on hand to answer questions about the program, which prepares
students to gain their Class A driving license in as little as four
weeks.
Heartland’s Truck Driver Training course covers:
· State and Federal regulations
· Pre-trip inspection

· Trip planning and logging
· Safe truck-operation practices
· Behind-the-wheel training
Staff will be on hand to discuss the four- and eight-week class options, the job
outlook for truck driving professionals, and also have information on program
cost, available scholarships and potential funding sources.
Local employers will also be on site to discuss job opportunities for trained
truck drivers.
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.
