The Delavan
Panthers won the 2019 Class 1A Regional Championship by
a final of 5-4 over Mount Pulaski on Monday afternoon.
The Panthers were trailing the Bruins 4-2 in the bottom
of the seventh inning at Bob Gasaway Field when Kelton
Nafziger slugged a bases-loaded single to centerfield.
Two runs quickly scored to tie the game and the winning
run came home on a throwing error by the Bruins. Delavan
advances to sectionals with the 5-4 victory.
