[April 02, 2020]  Congressman Darin LaHood (R-IL) applauded the Trump Administration and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for awarding over $3.5 million in Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Funding to Community Health Centers (CHCs) in Illinois.

The funding, which was authorized by Congress in the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, includes $307,257 for 18th District health centers.

“Across central and west central Illinois, communities and our health system are feeling the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak,” said Rep. LaHood. “As I have heard directly from hospitals, doctors, nurses, and clinics throughout my district, they need more resources. I am pleased to see this funding allocated, which will better equip community health centers to respond to increases in patients due to the coronavirus. I’ll continue to work with my colleagues to support those on the frontlines of our response and ensure our region has the resources it needs to combat COVID-19.”
