Obituary
Kay Proctor, 81, passed away at 11:58
a.m. on March 25, 2020 at her home surrounded by her
loving family.
Kay was born on May 9, 1938 in Decatur, daughter of
Francis “Bus” and Mary (Dial) Coulson. She married
James “Skip” Proctor on August 10, 1968 in Decatur,
IL. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2015.
Surviving Kay are her two daughters: Stephanie
(Casey) Westen of Latham and Jennifer Wallace of
Latham; two grandchildren: Staff Sgt Kyle Westen and
Colton Westen; two siblings: Mary Tozer of Decatur
and Pat (Rhody) Miller of Forsyth; many nieces and
nephews; special friend: Kim Mullins of Decatur and
her caretakers: Tara Lee of Mount Pulaski, Jessica
McKenzie of Carlock, James (Rachel) Ware of Lincoln
and Chuck Fuchs of Bloomington. She was preceded in
death by her parents and brother-in-law Ralph Tozer. |
Kay was a member of the First United
Methodist Church in Latham. She graduated Decatur
High School in 1956, Illinois State University in
1960, and was a teacher in Warrensburg-Latham for
over 40 years, retiring in 2001.
A private family graveside will be held at 10:00
a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Lake Bank Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Janice’s name to the Latham
Fire Department, the family, Latham First united
Methodist Church, or Safe Haven Hospice.
Cremation rites will be accorded by
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount
Pulaski.
