The Lincoln Heritage Museum will
allow up to 24 visitors viewing its exhibits at one time and guided
group tour numbers have been reduced, per Illinois guidelines. The
Immersion Tour will take guests 75 minutes to complete and is
limited to 12 people per tour. Guests are encouraged to call ahead
to schedule due to capacity limits and social distancing guidelines.
In line with Lincoln College’s new requirements, the Lincoln
Heritage Museum will be requiring face coverings for Museum staff,
volunteers, and guests at all times.
Similarly, new cleaning and sanitation practices have been adopted
by Museum and College staff to reduce the likelihood of spreading
illness. Other modifications to the Museum include hand sanitation
stations, social distancing signage, protective shields at desks,
and signage displaying new requirements and best practices.
Personal accountability is key to keeping the campus and surrounding
community healthy, therefore, Museum guests should complete a
self-health screening prior to their visit and take their
temperature within two hours of arriving to campus. Guests should
re-schedule their visit if exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 or
other illnesses.

“We are confident the precautionary measures taken at the Museum
will create a safe environment for our visitors, staff, and volunteers,” said
the Interim Director of Lincoln Heritage Museum, Olivia Partlow. “We have been
eager to reopen and share our historical collections with guests again,” added
Partlow.
In conjunction with public health partners, Lincoln Heritage Museum will monitor
the prevalence of coronavirus within Logan County and continue to adjust
operations accordingly to protect the campus community. Policies may continue to
be adapted and amended as conditions change.
With the safety and welfare of Lincoln College and the Logan County community as
a top priority, the Lincoln Heritage Museum is excited to welcome guests back on
August 4 at 9:00 a.m. New temporary hours will be Tuesday- Friday 9:00 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. and Saturday 1-4:00 p.m.
