Atlanta is a great place to visit because it has
a lot of rich history in our county as well as being a part of
Route 66. In addition, it is a community that has documented its
history very well. At every turn there are signs that explain to
you what you are looking at and why it is significant.
There is a lot to see just outside walking around the town. And,
if you wish to go inside (wearing your mask, of course) there
are museums to visit and some great places to eat.
But, if you want to stay outside in the fresh air, you can spend
at least a couple of hours looking at the sites and reading the
information that the city has provided to you via their signage.
When you got to town, hopefully you visited the lawn of the
Atlanta Library. There are neat things there as well as in the
Atlanta Route 66 Park directly across the street. That park is
also a great place to sit in the shade and enjoy a cool drink or
eat a carry out lunch from the Palms Grill.
So, take a short road trip and enjoy.
