"I have been interested in veterinary science
and I focused my project on dogs. I had just got a new puppy and I
took time to learn about dogs by researching through you tube,
Internet, and books. The project shows all about the body of dogs
and how well their body helps them for the environment and their
breed."

"By creating this glass album cover I learned
about different materials and their uses. I took the glass out of an
8x10 picture frame and attached a photo to it. Underneath the photo
I had traced the writing of the song from the way it looks on
Spotify (a music app). After I had traced the words with the paint
marker I waited for the paint to dry and then covered the entire
front of the glass in a coat of modge podge. The project was a lot
of fun and turned out great! I have a set of 5 displayed on my wall
with different photos of my friends."

"It was the first time I made jelly. I picked
my favorite to make, Grape Jelly. I put a lot of time and effort
into making this jelly. I was really happy that the jelly is very
good and tasted great on my toast!"
Paige Finchum
Crossbred Steer
"What I’ve learned through showing my steers
is the true meaning of friendship and teamwork. Through the months
of preparing for the fair you create a bond like no other, as well
as teamwork when showing to be able to lead and set up my steers."

"To highlight a couple of projects
(Photography 3 and Rock Hounds 2 Geology): In the Photography
Project I learned how to use a variety of different lighting
techniques to pull out certain aspects of a desired object. Also
from the Geology Project I learned about the structural geology of
Illinois, but more specifically for my hometown of Atlanta."

"What learned while working on making this ear
of corn for my sewing and textiles project: I simply referenced a
Pinterest photo from a while ago. In my mind I worked ahead a few
steps, to figure out how the pieces needed to fit, since I did not
have a pattern of listed instructions. It was a fun challenge!"
