[August 15, 2020]
The Logan County Democratic Central Committee announced today that
it will meet the public at a “Drive Through” event at the Kickapoo
Creek Park big shelter from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August
20. Everyone is invited to participate by “driving through” the big
shelter area of the park.
The continuing COVID-19 crisis had threatened to derail the Logan
County Democrats’ tradition of meeting on the third Thursday of
every month. Then its central committee came up with the idea of a
“drive through” event.
All participants will be expected to wear a face covering. Those who
“drive through” can stay in their cars as they share thoughts with
State Democratic Committee member Sheila Stocks-Smith, Congressional
candidate George Petrilli, and members of the Logan County Central
Democratic Committee.

The “drive through” will conclude in time for participants to return home to
watch Joe Biden accept the Democratic nomination for President of the United
States. Anyone with questions is welcome to contact Gary Davis, the Logan County
Democrats Central Committee Chair, at (217) 737-3359.
